In that first video the Prelude sounds like a speeder bike from Return of the Jedi.

Those videos just further reinforce to me that LS/VTEC sucks. I have never seen a fast LS/VTEC setup ... all the ricers want that or a B20/VTEC setup and everyone I have ever seen is slow. The last B20/VTEC I saw was running 16's, and there was a lot of whining about fuel issues. That Civic got worked over bad, and will still be broken down before those other to cars (well ... if LC gets Hondata that is ... get hondata!).

WOW...I've been dying to see a vid from you but I couldn't get one to work. My faith in the lude being fast totally comes back everytime I watch you start walking that Cobra. I can't wait until my warranty runs out and I can grab a JRSC. Thanks man.

the lsvtec you seen.. or b20 was probaby running on stock block and head. Fuel is always a issue when doing this kind of set up. My current set up with built block and stock b16 head. Made 163whp and 134lbs of torque. Thats just baseline run, with some tunning and purchase a JDM 4-1 header. I should be up in the 180+ whp range and 140+lbs. There are some slow lsvtec and b20vtec, it just how the build it. But I promise you this, If you run into a right lsvtec or b20vtec, they will hand you a good ass whooping.

haha thanks guys. That civic thought he had 200whp. He said he was running ls/vtec w/ 11:1 compression weisco pistons, etc... I laughed when he said 200whp, since hes never been to dyno. More like 160 if hes lucky. I want to run a b20vtec or lsvtec in a hatch. Might be better

I put him in the video b/c he talked so much smack before the race. He seriously thought he was gonna hand us both our ass.

In all fairness I have see two fast ones. The first was in some POS beat up looking Civic DX coupe at Ennis. It was a built B20/VTEC with headwork and JUN III cams. That one was running low 13's. He spent a fortune on it, though. The other is a hatch with a B20/VTEC, but I am not sure about the internals. That guy eventually gave up and slapped on a turbo because he lost to some turbo Eclipses on the street. With a turbo car it isn't that hard to get into the 12's if the block is strong. I don't think to many NA cars are doing that, especially not on street tires. All in all I think NA is great for Road Racing as it was intended, and boost is better for the street or the track.
