this happened yesterday July 29th.
as some of you may know I have a buyer for the Evo. well he was coming around 2:30ish on the 29th so earlier in the morning I detailed her one last time and took her out for one last beating/drive on a twisty mountain road.
well I had to stop at KMart to check some things out for my new apartment that I'll be getting shortly and Im pulling into the shopping plaza that KMart is in and coming from a side entrance are these 2 civic hatches and they see my Evo and they start revvin the piss out of the motors and for a LONG ASS TIME!!!
mind you its like 10:30 in the morning
so they park in their parking spots and theyre checkin out each others cars and I had to park about 5 spots away from them
I get out of my car and theyre screamin you wanna race? lets race? come on lets race?
so I yell out you'll lose and give them a thumbs down, walk into Kmart and about 10 minutes later I come out and theyre still there
so one of them comes over and tries to make a deal with me....oookkkk
he says all I see is an exhaust and tach(that "tach" is my defi boost gauge...its a 60mm gauge so its bigger than your traditional gauge)
he goes yea my car is the white one and I got a swap in it and my other boy is runnin NOS
I was like thats nice you guys will still lose
so he throws some $$$ in the mix so I agree and tell him I just love takin money from people like you and I get in my car and follow them to a local spot
so heres how its laid out
2 races each per car...2 cars
1 race from a dig and the other from a roll at 40mph in 2nd gear
on the way there we had to take the highway so I line up with the NAWS'ed up hatch...3 honks and we're away...I even let him get the jump 1st
little do they know 2nd gear 40mph is a sweet spot for the Evo
2nd gear flashes by like nothing and by the middle of 4th(~100) Im up by at least 5 bus lengths so I shut down
next hatch w/ a swap(supposedly) lines up and I just gun it
I take this one into 5th just because he pissed me off before
I was up by what seemed a mile
next we get to the "spot"
I line up with the swapped hatch 1st and well I kill him off the launch and that was that...I didnt go past middle of 3rd gear on him and he was a spec in my rear view
last but not least is the NAWS'ed up hatch and well this is the funniest **** I've ever seen in my life....he goes WAIT WAIT!?!?!
he gets out of the car....lowers his front tire pressures to practically nothing and gets back in the car and goes yea now I'll get you
we go....well same result as the last schmuck but he lights em up BAD off the launch since he decided to launch with the nitrous on
so yea....I shouldnt of wasted gas on civics but it was one last race
2 1/2 hrs. later my car went bye bye
