JRSC VS slightly modded WRX

Well i dyno'd at 214 with some knock problems which i now got figured out but a kid here in town has a white 01 wrx with a upgraged uppipe, downpipe, blowoff valve and front mount intercooler with some exhaust. So we raced from a rolling start about 3 times first in second gear and when we stepped on it he boosted in front and then bam i slowly passed him. Each time i passed by him in third and by 4th he was gone. So then we went to a mile of pure straight road where off the line he launched hard but then in 2nd id catch him and by 3rd he was with my quarter pannel and by 4th he was about a car and a half behind. I was proud!!! My lude doesnt feel that powerful to me but im guessing thats cause of the smoothness from the blower unlike a turbo. I overall kept beating him and i guess this thursday hes getting some soart of new engine management and a dyno so i cant wait to see what he gains and what ive gained from this little knock problem being solved. No more timing being pulled by my J&S!!!!

Good run. I loved my old jrsc prelude and it was very smooth in its power delivery. Torque was a lot better than stock, but still pales in comparison to the kind of torque my Evo has. It was a pretty even run on the highway with my 219whp 'lude and my stock Evo with neither really pulling on each other. Good kill. Go hunt an STI.

WRX will get you on the launch because of AWD, but you'll catch up. Your alot lighter than he/she is and more power too.

BTW, get those quirks worked out of your tuning. With a 5-speed, you should be between 220-230 whp.

Im really hoping to be around 230 when all these little issues are done with. Its coming to be winter here soon so in about a month she'll be garaged and once again worked on all winter!
