The joke race......

yes I raced a civic si that was stock and it was a joke, and then I got talking to this other guy who says that there is no way that a lude could beat a civic si, so I said whatever, but I had a question for all of you......

do you think that a 4th gen si all motor can beat almost every all motor civic?
no turbos no SC, all motor.....

With Si vs Si...stock for stock I would believe that the 4th gen's would win. But once the modding starts, I believe that the b16 is more capable of potential than the h23. Therefore, he will get more from the mods then you would. And high weight advantage would still stay the same. Therefore, if you were racing a modded Si with the basic I/H/E/P, he probably could take you. Especially if he had a VAFC.

i dunno, i've raced some modded sis with all the bolt ons, they usually keep up about 3-6 carlengths back. the closest was bolt ons, tuned, itr cams and he was about a car back. he was expecting to beat me pretty good i think. they were all saying he ran 14.6s or something, didn't seem like it.

I've lost to a grand total of 1 Civic Si. Many of them have had all kinds of bolt ons etc. I've run a couple that took their exhaust off completely at the track. Even when I was stock I'd beat modded Civic Sis. Unless they have a great driver, they are easily beaten.

There's and allmotor civic SI with a full JUN valvetrain, the necessary head work, JUN exhaust and header and ECU on order. That civic SI will kill a bolt on prelude SI.

Well I'd hope with all that money under the hood he could beat a Prelude Si. Hell you can make a pinto fast with enough $$$$$. And never forget that.

Peace

Hey guys! Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents here. My b/f has a civic si, and I have a lude si. all he has on his car is a header, intake and exhaust. my car is stock, and i haven't beat him yet. Once I do my engine swap though, it'll be my race. But in the meantime, he loves to tell me that he can beat me, blah blah blah. He's always telling me that my car is too heavy, that he'll always be faster. I keep up with him pretty good, except for curves. I've got stock rims, and he's got 17's, so he can hang those curves better. I did beat his unmodded hatch and he had a 1/2 mile head start. which i guess is no big deal, but boy, did I gloat over that one!
