jdm gsr engine in a civic.

i was talking a guy last night. he had a red civic with a JDM 210 HP GSR engine in it. all the expencive stuff, skunk2 intake manifold, dont rembember the headers or exhaust but he said he ran it flat 13. it was a 92-95 hatchback. doesn't that seem a little slow?

I dont think a JDM GSR engine would have that much stock, unless he has a good number of mods on it. 13 seconds slow? Thats near the NSX, thats not slow. Dont believe him until you see some time slips. He says this, he says that. No respect unless I see slips

That's what I thought - I don't think the JDM GSR motor is better than the USDM ITR motor - that's just wrong!

well if its a *STOCK* JDM gsr engine the guy might be lying or just doesn't know

a JDM type R motor however has 200 or was it 210 HP stock. maybe it is a JDM GSR motor but he just didn't list all the mods.

if its a "stock" JDM Type R engine its got 210 ps to the flywheel.

a JDM GSR wiith just intake and exhaust is pushing maybe 185-190 depending on what brand I,E. it would have to have some major interal work to be making 210 to the fly.

just ask him if it has an LSD and what the tranny type is and how long the gearing is (confuse him)

one thing I just remembered the easiest way to see if its a type R is to check the number of LUGS on the front wheels 4-Lug GSR 5-Lug Type R this will work for USDM engines.

but not so sure about JDM GSR's and Type R's I think some JDM Type R's have 4 Lugs. either that or you don't need Type R axles when doing a Type R engine swap (USDM or JDM)

about the JDM Type R with 4 Luggs I saw it on www.bestjapancar.com

hereis the car look at the lugs on the first pic and look at the engine on the second pic
