i raced a GSR 2 door w/ I/H/E/Pullies i have intake and a muffler w/ stock exhaust
the start was dead even, but after second, and third, walked him by about 2 cars, launched at about 4500 Rpm, oh yea, i also have act stage 2 clutch, so that might help the start a little bit

i used to have one.....They are pretty quick because they are so light...he has a chance of beating you...it doenst matter if its 4 doors because its only around 100-200lbs heavier...not much at all. (i had the 4 door)

170hp advertised but its really about 150-160.

qtr mile...a stock 4dr GSR runs about 16-15.5

Also...GSR engine's are much like a preludes....modifications dont do that much to it but they do have more effect then on a prelude.

i personally think its a drivers race

that doesn't sound like much, if a stock one runs 15.5-16. I think you could take him. goto the track first and get us a number, then we can better determine. would you race from a stop or a roll?

you can try to poke around www.team-integra.net and see if he's there and get his numbers, or get another GS-R's number on the 1\4th

Not sure if you've raced yet, but ashas been said already, if he TUNED the cams, he'll pull on you unless he absolutely sucks as a driver.

Go from a stop, and go for a quarter mile. If you outlaunch him, you should stay ahead.

And leave that rear bumper off! It's usually good for like 2 tenths in the quarter mile, due to decreased drag.

"This kid i know bought a 94 Integra GS-R with cams (idk what kind), an ebay short ram intake,
and some kind of headers/exhaust. Its 4 door (heavier) and has a lexxus IS-300 headlight conversion"

-Worst Case senario.
He is a serious tuner, and modified custom intake with ebay piping. Some gains more from this.
He is a serious baller rich man(i mean.. he has is300 conversion..), got good sets of cams,
quality headers/exhaust that we haven't even heard of. possible customized exhaust manifold with piping
and countless dynos to maximaze the performance.
He is seriously smart, he bought 4 doors to hide nitrous bottles under the rear seats.

-Best case senario
He is a plain dumbass. he thought he bought GS_R with cams, seller meant it stock cams(jee, every car has "Cams").
He thought anything from ebay is tight shiznit, bought ebay brand AEN intake, megan header, and OBX exhaust.
Of course, he thought is300 headlight conversion would give him the torque that IS300 has.

i've raced several gs-r's. from a dead stop without LSD you will be very close, depends on your launch, all the way up to mid 3rd gear then you will pull from him. If you both launch from about 30 mph in vtec 1st gear, you will smoke him, if you race from 75 mph punch you will smoke him. Biggest fear is racing from dead stop.

how does an LSD help in a launch exactly? is there anything special you are supposed to do to take advantage of the LSD while launching? or just launch from 6krpms as usual
