GS-R vs. my 4th gen VTEC.. $200 bet, need input!!

Ok ok i know i posted about this before, but i couldnt find it... heres my dillema... This kid i know bought a 94 Integra GS-R with cams (idk what kind), an ebay short ram intake, and some kind of headers/exhaust. Its 4 door (heavier) and has a lexxus IS-300 headlight conversion.

I have a 1995 Prelude Si with swapped USDM H22a1 with 145k (but runs strong). Ractive short-ram intake, Ractive muffler, and thats about it.

He's been talkin a big game about his car, and i casually mentioned i wanted to race him. He said only for a $200 bet. First instinct, i wanted to say no, but then my prelude-pride kicked in... So im trying to do some research first.

Integra GSR Motor:
Base Engine Size: 1.8 liters
Base Engine Type: Inline 4
Horsepower: 170 hp Max Horsepower: 7600 rpm
Torque: 128 ft-lbs. Max Torque: 6200 rpm
Redline 8200 RPM
Weight: 2650

4th Gen VTEC:
Base Engine Size: 2.2 liters
Base Engine Type: Inline 4
Horsepower: 190 hp Max Horsepower: 6800 rpm
Torque: 158 ft-lbs. Max Torque: 5500 rpm
Redline 7200
Weight: 2960

Ok, what scares me, is the increased redline on the GSR.... although, his peak HP will hit alot later than mine... would this cause me to pull ahead, or cause him to catch up?
Another thing that scares me is the weight difference. ALTHOUGH, as of right now i dont have a rear bumper on my car haha.

So what do you guys think? Is it worth $200 to see? Or should i talk him down to $50 or something.. (but i'd be ticked if i won!)

ps. i know you guys will say it depends on the driver... but lets assume we're both immaculate drivers

I think you'll get smoked if those cams are tuned.

Wrong forum BTW.

I agree- if he's tuned with cams, you're scr**ed. He might have been lied to about the cams (or is lying). try to get a look under his hood; If he's got adj. cam gears, WALK AWAY (and go get some N20!!)

Take out your spare tire, front seat, rear seat, and any weight you have on the car. Get some 15 inch rims. Hehe. But yea the cams... check what's under his hood first. I thought GSR motors weren't in 4 door tegs anymore after 1993? So it must be a dropped motor?

If he has cams, you might loose, if not, hard to say, take all the crap out of your car and run on E, GSR's can be fast if the driver is good.

A lot easier for you to say when your $200 is not on the line.
