Haha, just thought I would share with ya'll that I got my ass kicked tonight by a '95 Eclipse GST. That motherfvcker was fast, and I definately underestimated it. Figured it would be quick since it is just mostly stock, but I was surprised!
He had: Thermal exaust, Apexi Super Intake, aftermarket BOV on stock turbo.
I have: 97 Lude, AEM cai, Apexi WS exaust.

Anywhoo...where in Missouri are you? I know of a couple of GST owners at different parts of the state. In St. Louis, a friend of mine (Hobie1113) has a friend that has a recently modded GST.

Sounds like some of the guys that I've met in Springfield.
There are a handful of Springfield guys that are into imports. Two of them have turboed SC300s, another guy has a GST with a 16G turbo, another one with a 240SX, another guy (Erik--"Ludikris") that has a black 5th gen with nearly identical components as me. There are others, but I'm blanking out at this time of the morning.

Black97Lude....Jacques is correct, I'm from Springfield. I haven't seen many Gen5s, much less modded Gen5s (except for the white SH on Sunshine that's for sale, but I hear that's been abused).
Where in town do you live? I'm on the East side, not to far from Glenstone & Cherry.
Hey Jacques, and ludikris (which ever one of ya'll wanna answer), I know this is kinda off topic, but I'm interested in your "club". Do you think my car's worthy? Also, what's the average age in the group? I'm only 17, and I don't wanna feel out of place if you guys are like 30 (exaggeration intended). Thanks ya'll.

Jacques is refering to another club/group of guys in the area. I'll just say that they don't embody a group that I care to be a part of.
I started MCsquared in Springfield for enthusiats who drive pretty much any sports car. We are very small (right now) and focus more on helping each other from most mundane maintenance to the coolest parts installs. We focus on *friendly* competition and attending shows/races/events/autocrosses together. We're not supported by Mommy and Daddy racing, and the most active memebers are 25+. I see that you are in STL, but if you are in the area, shoot me an email.

ludikris is thinking of another club, which is mostly guys from Springfield (417 Imports), and as he says, they are kinds "spoiled". His MCsquared club on the other hand is a small, but cool group (also based in Springfield).
I am planning a STL Prelude meet in February...I'll shoot you an PM/email with more details. You can also PM/email me back if you like. And don't worry, the age range of this Prelude-only group is pretty wide.

Prelude meet in FEB????? too bad my wife just wrecked my Prelude and it'll be getting finished ( lowered, body kit , toal re-paint , rims) the third week of FEB!!
I've had the car for a long time but I left it stock for the longest (sucky job-no $$$) and I built a 'sleeper' stock looks-all motor mods. But since the fender bender I decided to go ahead and do the outside and start taking it to some meets, shows this summer
My brother is at school in Florissant (He's in Bible College) And he know's a guy who works at a QT on Howdershell he has a modded black 5th gen with a RS kit and a 'aggressive' spoiler-stock rims though. Any of you guys know him?
Maybe I'll make the meets in the summer since I'm not going to be ready till March, and I live like 2.5 hours away from St. Louis. But keep us posted

Sorry to hear this, but I had a Talon before the Prelude and you'll need the mods in my sig to hang with a modded GST

I've met the guy that works for QT, probably the same guy. I don't remember his name, but he had several bolt-ons with his black 5th gen 'Lude (pulleys, cams, cam gears, intake, exhaust), and I remember him taking out sound-deadening material for weight reasons. Didn't care for his aluminum wing, but it's his style.
We'll have more meets later in the spring and summer...just check on this board from time to time, or feel free to email/PM me if you like. I hang around this board alot anyways.
