Alright, its not the absolute first, but the first since the TT kit was installed.
My roommate and I were coming back from dinner, just cruising down the highway around 80. She and I were just talking, when a 2002ish Mustang GT with a stupid loud exhaust about locked up the brakes to stop from blowing by me.
So he keeps jumping on the gas to intice me, so after approval from my passenger to go, I slow down to about 70 and downshift to 4th. Holding the revs just out of boost, he downshifts as well, and this is when I hear the whine of a supercharger, so I get excited planning on a fun run. He honks, and he gets a SLIGHT jump on me, then I hit boost, the wastegates start dumping, and all hell breaks loose as I put about 10+ lengths on him, I let off at 120 and he stays on it until he can catch up. 2nd run, we slow down to about 50, so I can grab 3rd. It sounded like he grabbed 2nd this time, again he honks and gets the jump, as I had bad timing. He got his rear tires at my door before I started pulling away. This time I let off just over 100 and was even further ahead than the first time.
He ended up getting off at the same exit as me, and pulled along side at the light. Ends up that he has a Vortech supercharger and other bolt ons, dynoed at 350 whp. He asked what I had, but all I said was TT, but no hp# . He just kinda shook his head and turned the opposite direction. So I continued on my way happy with how its running now.
BTW... This was late Sunday night on a nice empty highway, no weaving through traffic or anything.
Only pic I have on this computer...Its when the car was still at the shop, so its kinda dirty. BTW, not much to see from up top, the turbos are buried on each side of the motor.
^^^Dynoed on a Dynapak @ 6.5 psi was 435 hp/405 ft lbs...I'm pretty safe on the stock block to 8 psi, so I'm debating getting it re-tuned for 8 and getting the UTEC switch installed so I can go back and forth between different boost levels.
wow...what's the compression on those stock motors? they sure seem to be boost happy. maybe nissan knew something that we didn't, eh?
10.3:1 stock...The shop that did the build for me is now offering me a sponsorship, so a forged motor/ upgraded turbos could be in the works over the winter...700+ hp
hey my boy saad's got the same APS twin turbo kit on his ride too.
Pretty long kill list, just last sunday he murdered a Modena....not that its all that fast or anything hahaha
here r some of his track vids http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rlVnlx6SdfU

I saw a greddy tt powed 350z that was hitting increments of 8, 12 and 14 psi. It layed down 418 whp on 8psi which makes me think either the dyno measure low compared to the dynapack or it had the bottom end built with lower CR pistons. I think the 14psi hit around 485 whp...I'll have to go double check.

I should change that...when I put it down @ 6.5 psi, I was not told that they had to add gas to the car and used 103 octane. But on pump gas (94) it now puts down 440 whp @ 7.8 psi
So it wasnt reading high, just running on high octane fuel...
And APS > Greddy as far as blown motors without a built block....
A lot of people have been able to run the Greddy kit on a stock block for over 20k miles without issue. APS is built for big numbers, I wont argue that, but you HAVE to build the block to get any kind of safe power out of that kit.
