I'm normally against responding in the way that I'm about to respond.
That said...........
Why in the **** would you even consider dumping 30 large into a ten year old platform that cost $23-24k new???
If you can legitimately answer that, please move down to my next question.....
Why in the **** would you even consider spending 30 thousand dollars on a Honda Mothafukin Prelude just for the goal of beating an Evo in a street race????
If you can legitimately answer that, please move down to my next question.....
Do you smoke PCP on a regular basis???
If you can legitimately answer that, please move down to my next question.....
First, take everything out (motor, tranny, everything except the Honda and prelude badges) off your prelude. Next, give everything that you took out and ship it to me. Now all you should be left with is a shell. Now, take that shell and ship that to me. Now, go buy yourself an Evo9. Next, take out everything (including the badges) except the bare essentials and ship that to me. Stick the prelude and Honda badges on there. Now, you should be able to beat a stock evo9 with your "prelude" (less weight since you gutted it). That should add up to 30K. If not, send the rest to me.
you only need 5k to beat evo, add a turbo and kill them on the punch even if evo is slighty mod u can still do it at 7psi. I know i did @289whp on 7psi
are you located anywhere near the upper east coast ? if so there is a place called trick engineering (trickengineering.com) who has built an sh that is 518whp and supposedly still daily driven. i dont know how much it costed but with those numbers i think about the only thing you'd be worried about is running out of gas. not pesky evo's and sti's so ask them how much it cost to kill evo's they would know, plus they are authorized by hondata and aem, and have a dyno. that would save bouncin from shop to shop dramatically so there you go and happy hunting
If you've got nothing better to spend 30K on than beating another car in a street race, all I can say is it must be nice to have rich parents and live in a drunken stupor.
Take it to the mountains and hope you're a better driver
Also, I think it's funny how someone talked about honda-tech posts yet you guys have a section for street racing. Like what do you expect? Even funnier is how some peoples vaginas get all irritated over this **** yet they still go into a forum marked street racing...
