you wanna talk about slow races, i used to race my 88 camry 100hp against my friend's iono 87 sentra with like 70? 80? hp in highschool

HAHAHA it was so funny... i don't even think you consider that racing hahaha

Damn, this is why I am so glad that I am getting the 5-speed swap done. The SS is just nothing compared to a 5-speed.

I completely agree.

In my 5-speed Celica GT (140 HP, 125 lbs. torque) I have been MURDERED by 5-speed 5th gen. Preludes. One guy who lives near me with a black 5th gen. with exhaust, bronze 17's, and AEM CAI beat by a LOT more than a few car lengths. Through first gear I do okay until he hits VTEC and he's gone. 2nd and 3rd I feel like I am just standing still.

haha, I sprayed on a Celica GT a few nights ago in an 01 5 speed, I/P/E/50 shot. I admit it, rev on me enough (10 miles or so) and you'll get me to go eventually.

to answer the question, yes the SS prelude really is that slow
