A couple little races...
Had a couple little races with a few friends of mine.
- First off was a cammed and cat-back evo vs. a fully built and turbocharged '99 civic si. This civic had beaten me a few weeks ago when I still had the silencer in the exhaust and had a nasty boost leak. Well, to make a long story short, the civic lost by about 3/4 of a car length.
They went at it again and same results.
- Next, my Evo against a white STI with 3" cat-back, intake, and bov. I nailed my launch and pulled 1 car off the launch and just pulled carlength after carlength on him. I was about 6-7 carlengths ahead by the time I reached 110mph.
- Next, same STI against the cammed and cat-back evo. The evo driver isn't the greatest at launching so the STI had about 1/2 a car on him off the launch and they were pretty even with the STI about 1 carlength ahead at the end.
- Next, my Evo against the civic si. Time for redemption... let's just say, it got ugly fast and he gave up somewhere in 3rd gear 'cause he kept losing ground and couldn't gain anything back.
- There was a pretty stock MR2 vs. a bolt-on Integra GSR and the MR2 had a nice launch, pulling 2 cars off the launch but got pulled on and lost by about 1 car at the end.
There were a couple more runs but no one wanted to run against me anymore. Just a couple of my mods now.
stock turbo
3" turbo back w/ resonator pipe and 02 housing
manual boost controller set at 19psi (stock w/ no fall off)
Apexi SAFC II w/ settings zero'd out (waiting for Wideband 02 before changing)
264/264 HKS cams
larger FMIC core
Everything else was stock
