for my ss stand point, the weight differential is a BIG thing. me and my cousin race sometimes, one time he took me on "launch" but going through the gears on a ss, the lude should pull much harder on 3/4. and my opinion on those cars are what the commercial says. .... "They just look fast "
my brother lets me drive the gts sometimes, the transmission and handling and the accleration feels more responsive. the only reason he lets me drive it cause i got a tanabe exhaust he jsut wants to go through parkin lots in the malls

I raced my friends auto GT-S once in my SS lude once
Our ludes pulls much harder in 2nd and even more in 3rd...
all I can say is.. if you think ss ludes are slow.. then auto GT-S is even slower..
we raced a few times and I always beat him pretty good...
so.. there you go! GT-S =
I know of 2 Celica's locally that are running 14.3 and 14.5 with just intake and exhaust. How many ludes are right there with the same bolt-ons. My girl has a 2000 GT-S and it feels faster than my 99 Prelude. Can't wait to see how the GT-S will react to the Nitrous Express kit and other bolt-ons.

yes.. drivers race. the part of the race that rely's most on the driver is the launch. we all know how proficient 99prelude_LC is at launching. if you check the vids where they race from a roll.. the GTS takes him barely.

i had a passenger and a window down at high speeds = lots of drag. We agreed after the race that the prelude would of pulled if not tied the GT-S assuming even weight. The red gts had an extra passenger also but kept missing 2nd gear.
Its a drivers race though. The cars are the same as power goes. Prelude's gonna be a little quicker just cuz of the torque off the line. Tested, Proved, and Agreed by both GTS and Lude
Well.. I do the LC launch pretty well... My G-Tech pro buddy on my windshield tells me I do consistent 6.7 second 0-60 and 14.9-15.2 1/4 time. The reason for the big difference in the 1/4 is sometimes I hit the rev limiter before shifting into second and it jerks my car forward.
My internals are all stock and I've ran against four different GT-S's with four different drivers.. and the outcome is always the same.. PRELUDE WINS!!!!!!! I always win by a minimum of 1-1/2 carlengths. I recorded the race I had last night with a TRD Celica (looks fast pkg plus intake and exhaust) but my stupid friend doesn't know how to zoom in and follow the race.

I almost forgot, racing my friends 98 SH with AEM CAI and Greddy EVO against my girls GT-S....the GT-S (totally stock) consistently beat it by about a half a car. This is the same guy that's run 9.4's in the 8th.
