The SS absolutely SUCKS. It really robs the H22 of its performance.

No.. Please invest in a swap.. Soon u will be beaten by a Civic Si (99-2000), or a GSR..

The SS is just a SHIET tranny... Just like most honda automatics are.. sorry to hurt ANYONE's feelings.. My ex used to own an SS too.. It had to "think" about going into gear.. Not only that.. Honda's manual trannies are retarded sometimes too.. I think Honda cant make a tranny to save it's life.. Hope the RDX doesnt break with it's all-wheel-drive

^you can run against other ss preludes.

you should see the difference from a 5sp racing a SS. its incrediable!

i passed him and left him before i even got to second. he was shooting NAWS too.

thats why he was thinking about doing a 5 spd swap which is why there is a thread a page back asking about 5 spd swaps in NTPOG

That's what most people did.. Try to get your hands on a manual tranny.. And if u can.. Get a M2B4.. With LSD.. It's WORTH it..

I've drive an SS too, just got it cause at the time I didn't know how to drive a 5speed and I got a killer deal on it ($5000 below KBB price). But the tranny robs a lot of power, I've driven my friends stock 5speed (inatke/exhaust) and my semi-modded ss (I/H/E, fuel rail, injectors, MSD, JET ECU, apex'i VACF, Aem pullies) and the difference is night and day. However I've managed to beat some civic Ex's, Mazda 5, 2002 Accord V6 (which also is an auto), VW beetles, and Integra LS.

Lost to a GSR twice, once off the line , he killed me, and once on the freeway by 2cars.

But with B16's (si's) I have better luck, usually get them on the freeway, off the line they eat me alive as well. Infact I've never lost again a si on the freeway yet (which doesn't say much).

easiest car in the world to drive. My brother taught me how to drive a 5spd in his AP1 and man that thing shifts like a dream.

I actually killed some stuff when my car had the auto.

1. New eclipse
2. Older eclipse
3. grand am v6
4. old civic si
5. new mustang conv. said "GT"
6. dodge dakota
7. mustang "cobra" probaly just had the emblems

and some various other stuff here and there
If a car runs slower than a 16.7 or so 1/4 mile an "SS" could beat it

SS cars arent made for speed but you can always make them look good .

Only car i ever raced was a 97 maxima auto. Exhaust & Intake for him and stock for me. We were side by side for most of the time.
