as im merging onto the highway, a 2003ish dodgie stratus is tailing me. speed limit 50 on the highway. i get up to 55 and the stratus is slowly passing me on the adjacent lane. i slowly add speed so he cant pass then, i see him start to pull on me a little i drop it into third and waste him then drop back to see if he wants to go. it appears he does but i let him get a good view of my taillights so easily im wondering if he was racing. i think he was but had a turtle auto and it had no balls in what was probably 3rd gear for him at 55/60 mph
15.7 1/4 mile in a manual stratus. yes, he was probably trying hard and most likely leaning forward in his seat

nice.i did something similar to an older ford thunderbird last night on the highway.it kept up a little better just b/c it was a v8 but i still beat him with half the cylinder .it was actually on my way home from my tune so i got to test my new power.
I only race cars like that in the tsx because its slow as molasses. My only street encounters usually involve me tricking someone into going faster than they should through turns, and seeing them slam on there brakes, or possibly worse. Thats a win for me. I havent done any straight line racing in ages.

Same here. Around here we have a bunch two lane curved on-ramps that merge into one lane after a 180 degree bend. I can't even tell you the number of buckets that have tried to beat me up those ramps. Minivans, trucks, cavaliers, suvs...I always let them get out ahead then they have to slam on the brakes going around the bend, where I pass them.
I've been reved on by a full size GMC utility van. Can anybody top that? I was laughing too hard to actually race it, but still.

ya i have the same thing happen b/c the ramp from 267 in plainfield to 70 E is a 2 into 1 ramp. I had an old man try to race me in an old busted oldsmobile from the early 70's

ya the guy looked like a hobo and his car was beat to hell.and im pretty sure it wasnt running right either.and that happened before my tune so my car was a lot slower than it is now and i still beat him.im sure he just thought i was some punk ricer and had a vendetta against me
x2 on racing faster cars. I too am guikty for raising the occasional POS but I love hoe my helthy lude can keep up with cars that are supposed to be faster! In a way I see the Lude as the best bang for your buck performance. 4-9 g's and you can stick with brand new civic si's as well as many other "quick" cars.

I raced a black dude in a 95 saturn this weekend. he was really pissed off about something.. kept tailgating me for a few miles. I had just stopped by kfc so maybe he smelt the wings.
