99 Prelude vs. 01 Eclipse GT-S

Short and sweet - it's my friends car, auto nonetheless. We went from a stop - I launched horridly and spun the tires right thru first and the start of second. I still took the launch though. When I tossed it into second he slightly pulled ahead (maybe a 3 foot lead) but as soon as I hit about 6k I was gone and just pulled steady from there.

I won by about 6-7 lengths and we shut down at about 95mph.

I have only an intake - so I'm as good as stock.

His car was bone stock under the hood but he had nice wheels + tires. Gram Lite 57S and some nice Toyo Proxes but that doesn't help when you can't launch hard anyways.

I didn't hit hyperspace when I pulled but it was a definite change in momentum. I went from slowly losing ground to suddenly gaining ground at a pretty linear rate. If we kept going though he might have pulled on me at like 130mph .. my car kind of chokes after 110.

This is the last race report until my car gets out of the top secret skunk-works in 4 months.

You had 6-7 lengths on him? Thats a lot considering you didn't start pulling until well into 2nd gear (what mph is that?) and had that much on him by 95.
