98eclipse gst Vs 97prelude turbo

today i raced some dude that blew past me showing off his bov sound. then i did the same to him to show him he's not the only one. to make a long story short we raced and i edged him out by 3/4 of a carlenght by the time we were at the end of 3rd. i was pretty surprised as to how fast it was until i asked him hom many psi he was using. he said " im only using 15 psi, but i can go to 20" then i told him "i'm only using 5 psi"
what a sucker!

That's always funny to say to people. There like huh The problem is he can upgrade turbos for relatively cheap and run alot of boost and only need to upgrade injectors were as we need to spend thousands on building the motor.

The amount of "PSI" is not relevent to the VOLUME of air that the turbo is producing.

7PSI on a t3/t4b is not the same as 7PSI on a t3/60-1.

His Turbo is prolly a looot smaller than yours and was prolly runnin in his optimum efficiency range.

^^^ Man...then I wonder how small that turbo was on that eclipse. The GReddy turbo is pretty small already. It does it's job though obviously.

i think they come with a 15 or 16g stock. i have an 18g. i think stock eclipse turbo's are worthless. i have a buddy that has a civic ex with bolt ons and 100 shot that beat some dude that had a 97 eclipse gst pushing 20 psi. i know though that when the turbo's are upgraded they can be really fast. but my point is that most gst and gsx's think they have god's gift to imports. from what i noticed, eclipse drivers are the cockiest. kinda like how a mustang driver thinks they are the fastest domestic.

mordecaiPSi- i know his turbo is a lot smaller than mine. i know that 7psi on different turbos make different hp's. but he was the cocky one and got beat. he might be in his max efficiency range, but i am not. i only have 5.5 psi. if i was in my max range (14-16psi) i would eat his car alive. i would suck him up and spit him out the exhaust. i would give him 5 car length head start. i would smoke a cigarette then go after him. i would line up with him then get out of my car, then flag for us, then jump in my car while he already left, then i would go and granny **** and edge him out by about a carlength. you get the idea.

I hope for that guys sake he has upgraded some stuff in his car other than a boost controller. I had a friend who had a eagle talon which is essentially the same car and he was running 19 psi. All I will say is he almost died cause his car burst into flames while racing someone. Nice kill btw!
