So this kid at my school keeps braggin his manual eclipse. He has an intake and a header-back exhaust. His exhaust sounds like ****, total ricer. My Prelude's an auto with an intake. Hypothetically, who would win?

I suppose if I were a betting man, I would put it on the automatic lude. It would be close, but both cars weigh pretty similar. And his mods won't add that much HP to make his stock 140hp at the crank (or did they have 160hp for a 3rd gen?). You've got him on the HP, the torque might be in his favor just a hair. These numbers I'm talking about are all the realistic HP and TQ power curves at the wheels, just if you're wondering.
But with your auto, providing its in good working order, it's going to be you stomping the pedal to the floor immediately when taking off from a stop and don't do none of that *** manumatic stuff because your "D" mode is going to work the best. He's going to be shifting and with a race like that, he's going to have at least two different times (maybe three) where he shifts and loses that brief moment of acceleration. So overall, I think the win would go to you.
But as far as bragging rights go the next day at school, you'd both be talking about a win of one car length, maybe two. Most people would call that a "draw" though, haha.
If i had the choice, i wouldn't have put an intake on, but it came with the car, and the auto was the only one in my area so i didn't have much choice.

Yea, I'm 15. Which, to answer 00_l0ode's statement, is why i don't want to race. I don't feel like not bein able to get my license til im 17. And ****, i don't even brag. I drive to and from school, the car brags for itself
Tee-Dot- I know the auto's have ****ty transmissions, I'm hoping i can either sell it before it goes out and buy a manual, or get it swapped. I'm just too young to get a job, therefore i lack the money to do either until i turn 16.

Well then why does it matter who will win?
i can tell you it would be pretty close. and good for you not trying to race lol im sure alot of us here cant stand the temptation lol
I'm not plannin races, i just wanted to hear others input. hence why i said "hypothetically". I'm not saying that i will never race him, though. It's a possibility, but not anytime this year.
didn't you guys watch the fast and the furious, the eclipse loses, take some lessons from that dude, just wait until his manifold over heats and nitro his ass to the finish line...
uh a manual lude should rip the eclipse apart... their engines are trash, however i dont know for sure about a auto... a manual lude for sure wins unless he's got a mitsubishi turbo cuz they rip...my moneys on you tho
