98 prelude v last gen supra non turbo

A friend from school was dissing hondas and saying how they are slow and how we jerk to vtech and it is really pointless. So i argue with him and say that my prelude would beat any of their cars. So one kid comes up and says ill race you in my new supra that i just got. I accept considering it is a non turbo with 140k (that i later learned he payed 16g for lol)
We meet in the parking lot after school and cruise to route 100 near our high school. THere is a sign that is exactly a quarter mile away from the one traffic light. About 10 kids follow us trying to watch the race. We stop at the green light with all the kids behind us and wait for it to turn red.
I get an average launch and i am ahead by 2 maybe less car lenghts after third i am about 2.5 I hit the sign and he is like 1.5 lenghts behind me. I think the supra has more top end than accel but. I win Prelude>Supra(non turbo)Honda>Toyota

Yeah supras are very heavy cars and really aren't that fast without the turbos. Watch out, the ones with turbos can make crazy power though. I have an MKIII supra shell as a project car that I need to drop an engine in. I'm not one for street racing, but nice kill. I bet it feels good to beat a supra in a prelude

Nice kill. I haven't had a lude beat me yet, but then again I'm a TT so yea But my 97 lude has a built H23 bottom with an vtec H22 head once I get it back to auto and it passes smog I'll throw a turbo on it, then I'd like to see how it holds up to my stock TT w/fmic lol...
