'97 Integra vs Kia...something

Last night I was at a pool hall shooting some pool and these couple of kids started talking smack to one another. Well, they decided to race by this industrial area. I was going to race the Integra afterwards but after seeing them race, I didn't want to waste my gas.

Anyways...

Integra is a '97 LS with a poor GSR swapped done to it. I/H/E

Kia is a late 90s model 4 door I think Spectra? It has I/H/E/Clutch/Flywheel and removed AC and PS.

They both line up and on the launch, they were both pretty even. Shifting into 2nd gear, Integra driver shifts a little faster and jumps ahead then starts pulling and by 3rd gear the Integra had the Kia by 1.5 car length.

I rode in the Integra and that thing felt slow as hell for a GSR with bolt-ons. If I would've raced him in my Lude, I probably would've walked him a good 4-5 cars by the end of 3rd. It was probably one of the slowest race I've ever seen in my life.

I have a 2001 Kia Lanos and that's was not cool of you to say. My Kia is fast though because I have Turbo Nitrous on it and it ran an 11.7 @ 119.4mph in the 1/4 mile. It wasn't as fast as my Civic hatchback I had though which ran 10s with full body, full interior and street tires.

true story...

My Kia weighs around 2100lbs now with me sitting in there because I did some extreme major weight reduction to it and Turbo NOS it so it's really fast now.

Yeah, it was really fast. My highest trap speed in my Kia was 124.xx mph but I ran a slower time due to traction issue. I was spinning it great off the line when I hit my NOS so had a horrible 60ft time.

i think you're full of crap. how was it built? What psitons? They are notorious for crank problems similiar to the DSM crankwalk problem (similiar). Also i have heard that the stock head is made from a bad alloy mix and that it requires extreme cooling or it warps VERY easily.

Like I said, most of this is just stuff I've read. I don't really have any balls to back it up yet.

I used to own a 1988 cadillac deville 4.5 liter v8 , tho i think it had something like 190hp which sucks for how big that engine is. anyways i tried racing that at lights every now and then, one time i managed to race this van full of teenagers, and i know we were both racing cuz we did it 4 lights in a row spinning tires each time... we were both laughing our asses off by the end lol

Haha, they actually do make a bunch of parts for Kia's. My mom drives an 05 Kia Spectra, with a Spectra 5 front end conversion, lowered, w/ wheels, intake & exhaust. I'm dead serious too.

I saw a black guy with a lowered Kia Sephia, with chrome rims, dragon graphics, neons, a system, fart can, etc

Exodus: Why does your mom have a modded car? Let alone a modded Kia?
