94 VTEC VS.. a few cars

Hey had a few races in the past couple of weeks.. its been REAL REAL cold and dry here in Philly the past couple of weeks.. well up until yesterday that is.. anyway OFF TO THE RACES>.

1. Me VS a red civic hatch back.. not sure what year it was, but it was a newer one..
Exterior Mods: black rims of some sort.. might have even been the stock rims without wheel covers on them, tinted windows, "Type R" in yellow vinyl.
Performance Mods: Only think I could see was a nice shiny DTM muffler...
Scenerio: MErging onto Route 309 heading south I see the civic fly on by. I merge and manage to catch up to him.. Traffic is moderate.. I get up next to him and look over.. I can;t see him, windows are too dark,, anyway we slow down to about 30 to let the traffic in front of us get a little lead.... Match up.. blip the gas to let him know I am ready.. I let him get the jump.. once he gets about half a car ahead of my I floor it.. pull him and by the time I am at the top of third I have about a 2-3 car lead.... NO SHOW NO GO.... I love picking on vinyl ricers... we do this about 2 or 3 times down 309 all with the same results..

2. ME VS Cadillac sts or something like that.. THE BIG two door one.. he is behing me at a light on 309 late at night not too much traffic.... I pull ahead and he moves over one lane so that I am on the passangers side of him.. I let me get about even with my and I nail it second going about 50mph.. shift hard into third and pull about half a car length.. take it all the way up to about 110 -115.. and we shut down with me being about half a car ahead.. Get to the next light.. we line up next to eachother.. he signals me to roll down the window he says. " YEah I am gonna buy my son one of those, had to make sure it was quick." MY reply, "YEah its pretty quick for just a 4 cylinder." He's like "No ****!. nice car.." and We just go on our merry ways...

wtf is 309 in philly? it is getting boring out in philly tho, i just posted a thread in street racing about how i can't find any damn races. (highway) not front st. and n.philly ones. and have u noticed the traffic in philly... its getting worse and worse... damn drivers suck too.

p.s. don't line up to a red hb with white rims, and black ass tint. u will get ur ass shoveled. be forewarned if your in south jersey

Route 309 is actually an expressway that hooks up with Cheltenham AVE ALL they way down in Mt airy area.. it goes ALL they way up to the burbs like MOntgomeryville area. Get lots of little races on the expressway..

As for South Jersay.. used to work over there .. TILL I GOT LAID OFF but used to pick up some races on route 70.. used to pass this TATOO shop that had what I think was a turbo TEG.. black and also some weird ORange civic of some sort.. went at it sorta with the orange civic.. and smoked him.. also went up against some riced out neons...

How do you like your high flow cat? I was thinking about getting one for my 5th gen. Can you feel the difference?

Well My cat was old and breaking down... I have a 94 with 136K on it.. so I noticed a pretty good difference.. If your cat is perfectly good then there is little to be gained with a high flow..
