guy had a i/h/e b16 in his hatch. i have '01 5sp i/e/test pipe/zex 65
our first race was from about a 30 roll no spray. I was in 2nd so he pulled a quick half a car b4 i hit vtec, we stayed that way til 90.
next race was another 30 roll but i sprayed. i pulled 4 cars buy 100.
next we raced from a stop. i sprayed and spun my tires in 2nd for 3 seconds will i watched him rape me. I pulled hard at the end but he was way ahead finished about 2 cars up. I've never broken traction that bad b4, I guess the 24 degrees outside did it. But that civic hooked up fine and took off, damn those things weigh nothing.
goes to show how many factors are in a race. i got beat by a car i pulled 4 cars on from a roll.
what year hatch was it? if it was around 92 than a b16 in it are pretty quick but the new ones are that light, still light than a prelude but not as light as the older hatches
I think it was a newer one. I'm not up to speed on civic hatches but it just looked like a newer cleaner bodystyle. Maybe late 90's? The guy bought the car, somebody else did the engine swap so he didn't know too much about it.

nope i just sat still and spun through 1st, 2nd, then got traction in 3rd. I seriously just spun and didnt move. I've never had that happen, I can only attribute it to being on concrete (not asphalt) and it being 24 degrees.

Oh yeah, that was you! sorry man, I forgot all about that... so, what are you gonna do about it? Like I told you in the other thread, check and see if the block is salvageable... it'd save a lot of $.
