Holy shiz this is old, but anyways back when I had the prelude I had I/H/E/Manifold/TB and I took out G35's. I dont think the new 330Ci is THAT much faster...

330 is not that fast. 225hp in a 3000 lb car doesn't make for that much.

My dad has a '02 330Ci 5spd w/ Sport package.. I know that car pretty well and don't get me wrong I love BMW's torque, as I would love to drive the car around. When I had the Prelude with my mods, I missed the torque that the bmw had but the top end made up for it. I was side to side with my friend's '05 330i without my manifold/throttle body...

Have to agree. Now the new 335i on the other hand.. That's a different story.

The 335i is the newest version with a twin turbo inline-6, correct?

Fast BMW. And it's not even an M3.

...very old thread but i figured id chime in anyway. i just purchased an 05 330ci 6spd with the performance package (+10hp over the standard 330ci = 235hp) almost 2 months ago and I have a 92 lude Si 5spd with an H22a. The 330 is def a bit faster and the torque diff is also apparent. This is all butt dyno but yea, i'd be pretty confident goin toe to toe with any stock lude.

4th gen VTEC: 2932lbs
E46 330ci ZHP (Performance Package): 3285lbs

Its almost a fair race.

Until we factor in the exrta 10K for the price of the beamer and the maintenance it takes to keep a beamer.

Prelude FTW, although the beamer is better in the DD arena and gets more ladies and respect.
