ford edge i think its called, really small almost like an S-10
anyways, beatable? stock for stock, but hes a really good driver, and im a fair driver right now so...
i have no idea about anything about the edge, but he said he wanted to race, and i was gonna put some money on it cause i need some, jus wonderin if it was most likely a kill?
If you lose to him, you better hang your head in shame.
The bad news is that it might be possible. I just checked and they have that nice SOHC 4.0 V6 that makes 207 hp and 238 lbs/ft of torque. The dumbass Ford website doesn't publish the weight on them, but the extended cab 4x4 weighs a little less than 4100 lbs.
If the guy had a single cab 4x2 it might be as light as 3400 lbs I'm guessing. You should still beat him, but make sure you race to say, 100 mph because he might get a jump on you with all that torque.

The new 4.0 SOHC is not a bad engine unlike the old pushrod 4.0. The pushrod had NO topend whatsoever. I've got one in my Explorer and it wheezes above 4k rpms. The SOHC has pretty decent topend from what I have heard and good torque down low.
If he had any mods, there is a chance he could beat you with a single cab 4x2. Those old Toyota single cab 4x2 V6s could do high 15s in the 1/4 and a lot better than that with mods.
Stock for stock you should win no problem, just don't understimate him and get a weak launch.
