how will a 4th or 5th gen do against a 96 240sx with headers exhaust and an intake?

I have only seen 1 240 with an I/E at the track and it was gettting 16.1 all night. Not sure about this it could of just been that he was a bad driver.

If you own one why would you ask a how it would do???? Anyways stock they only came with ~155hp...I dont think I/H/E are going to give it that much of a power boost. I know someone makes a turbo kit for them, probably f-max that had decent power results.

WHAT BUBBLE?? TRUST ME, I COULD DO THIS WITH MY EYES CLOSED... BESIDES, WHAT WAS THAT TIME, ALSO I BET EITHER THE OTHER PRELUDES WERE NOT ALL 5TH GEN AND IF THEY WERE THEY WERE SS... I REALLY DOUGHT AN SR20DE WITH 155HP TO THE FLYWHEEL AND BY THE TIME IT REACHES THE REAR END IT REALLY IS ABOUT 122-130 HP COULD EVER HANG WITH AN H22 V-TECH.. MY BEST TIME STOCK WAS A 15.02 AT 94.2MPH. I PULLED A 14.97 ONCE BUT COULD BACK IT UP SO... I THINK THAT MAKES IT PRETTY CLEAR..

For once Jglude and I are on the same side. OK so whats the difference, either way a 5th Gen Lude would ABUSE that 240SX. Sorry brothers, they look nice but dont have the grunt to match.

My friend had a 93' 240sx that he let me used to drive. Engine didn't change but let me tell ya, that thing starts gasping for breath at the upper RPM's. Great to launch (I could take just about any GSR through 1st and middle of second gear) but after that it was usually over for me. Now this was also a 240 with an exhaust and intake.

I also raced a souped up 97ish 240 (with the slanted headlights) in my 98prelude. Shut down after I hit a 5 car lead.

What you guys have to watch out for are the 240's with the SR20DET swap. Now that thing has potential.

YOU'RE RIGHT, BUT THE REALITY OF IT IS, HOW MANY SR20SET SWAPS ARE YOU GOING TO FIND? USUALLY IF YOU DO, THEY ARE MAINLY SHOW...SO... THE FINAL ANSWER TO THE QUESTION IS... THE 240 WILL LOOSE EVERY TIME:finger: WITHOUT ANY EFFORT, EVEN WITH AN SS PRELUDE..

You guys now what i mean..SR20DET.. besides, why am i an idiot? your reply really makes no sense, if you want to add posts under you belt, go to off-topic... this is an actual conversation. Man, it seems like all 240sx owners heads are as big as the engines but as usual, no power to pull it's own weight anyhow, the 240sx is really a high potential car, the fact that it's different than every honda out there is what separates it from the pack. It's still a slow car anyways

Hey schneiddog- Sorry to bust your bubble but a 5th gen Lude would rape a 240SX. Why don't you go find some Civic EX's or some escorts. You might be able to beat them.

Not a flame to any cool 240sx owners but this guys g*y.
