2001 v6 acura cl pull - Honda Prelude Forum

hey there,

as some of you may know from reading my thread, my lude has bad compression. anyways, some kid i just met has a 2001 acura cl coupe. its a v6 auto. its not a type s. he mentioned that we should run. i shrugged and smiled since i assumed with my worn engine he would pull on me. however, i agreed to a run. we line up and i get a good launch. i inch away from him. i put about 2 cars on him by about 90(which is about a 1/4 mile run for the lude)

Overall, im impressed with the lude. mods are intake, and 2.25" catback exhaust, no balancer shaft belt.

shifting at 8k ftw! and oil change 20 mins before the run ftw too!

It was the oil change.

You are actually shifting at 7600, the rpm gauge is fairly inaccurate at that point.
