1998 Nissan Altima GXE... What will Happen?
To begin with, I dont have a lude yet. But soon, very very soon. I hope
Well it's gonna be a 2001 SE Lude, Pearl White or EBP.
Anyways, I have a good friend of mine with a 1998 Altima.
He's got Intake/Header/Exhaust and a 50 shot of nitrous oxide. He's lowered on coilovers and is riding on 17" rims... useless info I know.. oh yeah and it's a 5spd.
He says he probably gets 160HP at the wheels. I'm not too sure about this, I belive the stock Altima has 150HP.
Can a stock Lude take him?

probably. a stock 5 spd usually puts down 165 to the wheels. It will be a drivers race.

Altima seems to be an underestimated.

So, he only has 165 hp at the wheels ON the spray? That's embarrassing if that's the case!

are you sure those Altima GXE's have that little horsepower? I could swear they had more than that.

not really..but i mean they can be decently quick...i wouldn't say that a prelude would beat a GXE hands down but yeah a prelude could beat an altima....IMO a lude would win.

Oh, so with the 50 shot, he's a at a little over the 200whp mark, so I'd say he'll win, especially from a roll.

yeah with a 50 shot he will win...unless he doesn't know how to drive and he spins the crap out of his tires when he sprays.

As long as he doesn't spray off the line, which can only be done successfully with a lot of practice, he should wax you.

In Canada yes. I'm pretty sure it's the same thing as the Base model in the U.S.

So did it have leather, wheels, extra things that my Accord SE has?

I think some of them came with leather. I'm pretty sure it was only certain years though. I'm not sure on that one. Sorry.

I was under the impression that 5th gens never came with leather in North America.
