Weight: 3480 lbs, HP Stock 195.
Engine: 350 Ci, V8
reason I ask.. this stupid cunt ( yes, the "c" word had to be used.) on yahoo was arguing with me over her *****in' Corvette.

I beat a '78 Vette, it was an auto...and I might have lost a little more ground on the start if it was a manual...but they can't hang at all up top. And definitely over 40 mph, the Vette can't keep up.

yeah...there was a time when the vette had horrible hp numbers with not as horrible tq numbers

Yep... Old "vettes didn't have crap really until the C5 came out. most prior models were underpowered.

I have a friend with a C4 / LT4 putting down 330hp to the wheels. ...and it isn't modified that much.

Operative word being "most." chances are he's not running against a ZR1 C4 (which are pretty rare and expensive)...
However, those old 'vettes are very easily swapped... I'd be wary of anyone wanting to race claiming only 195 hp stock.
