14.87 1/4 @ 99.8 mph....

Ok, i don't really ever drag race but the other night i used my friend's gtech meter and did one run and that's what i got. Now how accurate is the actual mph it measures? with a trap speed that high, shouldn't i be able to run a much lower time?? I've always done prelude_lc's launch technique but this time i think i spun the tires a bit to much. It was also pretty warm out. 85 and humid as a mofo like always in New York. Let me know what you think i should be capable of.

i thought holy crap till i saw you said gtech yeah thats about right the mph is off because its an instaneous speed based upon calculation wihtin the gtech. distance over time.... the track measures an average of speed over the last 60 feet or so thast why its less than gtech. the 14.87 is pretty good, my friend just got back from NY and she said the humidity is worse than here!!

so that sounds pretty good considering the vafc/cam gears are untuned. You'll be able to hit mid 14s if you tune those and let the weather clear up. good job

i know i can do much better than that though. My launch wasn't good and i shifted early into 4th. I must do better A 4th gen VTEC with my mods is capable of more.

And preludelc, if that time was at that track, what would've you thought?

weather is a huge factor wait a few months and you'll see the time drop tenths

with a 2.3 60 ft time which is avergae you'll prolly hit a 14.6/7 2.2 14.5s who knows, your trap speed is prolly gonna be around 95-97 depending on the weather. If you tune your vafc and cam gears you can take off another tenth
