i'm surprised the g35 didn't pull away at higher speeds. it really should, given that it's a h3ll of a lot more aerodynamic than a convertible ! !

Maybe it was because the G35 was an Auto that's why it didn't pull away from the S2000 at high speeds? We all know Autos have extremely long gearing compared to their 5 or 6spd siblings. Great races anyways and very well filmed! The G35c was stock from what I see but the S2000 looks to have at least an exhaust? Both very nice cars!

thats why ill never buy either of those cars, not worth the money. They arent that fast. My next car as of now will be either an 03 cobra, latel model c5 coupe, Supra(if i can get one for a good price). Im leaning toward the 03 cobra.

03 cobra haha high insurance for a pos ford and u wont ever see 20 mpg good luck. i got the s2k for pimp factor 22 now how fast can u really go?? next car will be a supra but the s2k beats most of the cars out there with looks. and chicks did verts. if i really wanted to be fast id get a supra and loose my liscense or built a POS civic or somthing and run 11s

and u think having a supra will be cheap to insure? im a realist and for the money the vette or 03 cobra rapes any import on the market. sure the s2k looks good, but its not that much faster than a slightly modded prelude. Supras are overpriced, but i still love em. But like i said it looks like im going to get an 03 cobra(not liking the idea of a 2 seater). Overall i think the cobra is a better car than the s2k.

well my supra would eat most cobras. u just cant touch em on the hwy. unless they are stock then yeah there easily taken. 2 seater is fine with me cause i dont like toting peoples asses around like the bruthas, and all i need is one chick. at a time. its all personal preferance. not to long ago i was all about speed and less looks but since i got a ticket and my insurance went up its all changed. if i get the money ill just turbo this *****.

The S2K and G35C isn't all about "speed". People get them for reasons other than straightline speed and that's not what they're built for so you can't really count that against them. The S2K is a very fun car to drive and hugs the curves like it's on rails. The G35C is pretty quick for what it is...a luxury sports coupe. For the price...you really can't beat either car in my opinion. The fit and finish of the cars are top notch and all around it's one of the best bang for the buck.

I do agree that if you want pure speed and massive torque then an American car is the way to go. Not everyone is about speed and going fast in a straightline so those cars won't appeal to everyone, just like the S2K and G35C wouldn't appeal to someone puts speed and power as their number priority when it comes to buying a sports car.

Just like the Porsche Boxter S. I would neve spend 60K on a Boxter S but a lot of people like them and would put that kind of money down without thinking twice. Why? Because it's a Porsche and owning one makes a person feel good and get pretty much for status. You can get an S2K and beat the Boxter S in almost every single category but then you're still driving a Honda compared to a Porsche.

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

soooo....dumb question of the day. How come the s2k sounded like that between shift? Sounds cool. Is that just quick shifting or is that how it sounds when people double clutch?
