'05 jetta GLi vs 4th gen stock VTEC

buddy got a 2005 jetta GLi not too long ago. very nice car, really beautiful.

so this was on the freeway. 60 mph roll. 3 honks... i started off in 3rd and put about 2 to 2.5 cars on him.

he could have kept up i think. when we went at it, i was already in 3rd, while he downshifted to 4th.

Him: no mods
me: lowered, bolts to cat are loose, haven't had time to tighten them up, 183,xxx miles

Nice kill man.

It's amazing how a 12 year old car with 183+ miles can beat a brand spankin' new one.

in deed it is, my h23 has about 170XXX rightnow, i only have i/h/e, and i m puttin down 150 in torque and power. I raced one of those new mazda 3s, 04 or 05 i dont know, they come with 160 stock, the guy downshifted to third when he saw i was comin up next to him, i was already in 4th at about 70, he was a car length ahead of me when he downshifted and when i stepped on it in 4th, so i just floored it, he wasnt worth me downshifting, then we got up to about 110 and i let off cause traffic was ahead. He didnt pull one inch the whole time, and the punkass had the ballz to flash his hazards...tard
