01 5th gen vs 01 GSR

sup guys just felt bored here at school and wanted to post my race from friday night. i have a 5th gen SS with intake, exhaust, and simple weight reduction (removed spare, sub box, jack). i raced my friend with a 01 GSR with AEM cold air intake and weight reduction also. Off the launch i had him 2 cars b/c he dropped the clutch, and since i was ahead of him, he got scared and floored it. anyways, im in 2nd gear now and he just got out of 1st. he pulls hella hard, but can only pull up to the front of my door before the end of the 1/4 mile. Honestly, if he didnt mess up on the launch he would have beat me by 1/2 a car. but hey! a win is a win my headers come in today, so i'll probably race him again on friday. AND i am racing my friends stock 95 nissan 240sx SE so i'll post up on friday about that hehe. we both know that i'll win, but he just wants to know how much he'll lose by happy luding

i remember the first race i ever had on my car was in ontario, ca at the street races i didnt even know much on when to shift or when to launch it i had nothing on my car but an intake and exhaust i raced a 97+ gsr with some minor bolt ons not sure what cause he wouldnt tell me but im pretty sure he had a good amount of it but i took off on him and got him with 1st and 2nd gear then after about that he started to pull on me but eventually the 1/4 mile was up and he never got the chance to keep up my first race and a successfull one
