for two ten inch IDQ's. Would the RF 500a2 be enough? each sub would get 250, or should i step it up to the 800a2. each sub gettin 400. 800a2 might be too much huh?

I have the 500a2 running for 2 10 in soundstream spls..and they hit very hard..maybe a little too much..and i'm not even using the potential the amp has to offer since i'm not running it at 2or 4 ohm mono

Cringe. Don't do it man, that is profane heresy. Good clean subs run with a POS RF amp? Sorry RF guys. Anyway, overpower, (have the ability to overpower), by at least 10%. With RF amps, or other (mid quality?) amps go 15%. 550 to 600W is perfect for 2 IDQ's. You need to be able to get full linear excursion with clean power.
