work in progress

Work in progress.....
with a lot of help from my buddy on maxima.org...we're doing a 3way system in my maxima.

This is the first layer of dynamat that you see....we will be cascading the door panel and doing another layer on the door itself.
We also dynamatted on the backside of the door skin.

That's an Iridium 8" midbass. =)

Midrange and tweets are going to be in the kicks

Our helper for the day:

going to run them passive for now to see how I like it and for simplicity's sake. ...if not...it's time to get one more amp to run 3way active.............

More pics to come as I finish up the wiring and figure out where to put 4 crossovers!!!!! :chuckle:

MMMMMMM I love me some smooth DLS. I'm thinking about throwing some DLS RS6 2ways into my 5th gen prelude doors. Just in stock location, nothing crazy going on in my prelude.

Whats the rest of your setup consist of?

Hehe I would like to see that! This was my friend time dampening....I'll probably add one big layer ontop to make it look nicer....

My setup:
Source - Eclipse AVN6600
Front stage - DLS Iridium 8.3 3way component set
Rear fill - DLS Classic 226 coaxs
amps:
DLS Ultimate A4 4channel amp
DLS Ultimate A6 mono amp
Subwoofer - DLS Ultimate Nobellium 12

PPI Digital Processor

I guess I like dls?

One of these days, if you even venture out into Queens, you're going to let me hear this monster.

i still have the dead pedal there...and those are my STOCK kicks.

I've crushed the grille for the tweeter once....guess I can't auto-x this car.

If I just rest my foot on the dead pedal on a long trip it's fine...no damage done...it's only when i'm using the dead pedal to brace myself and it puts a lot of pressure on the tweeter grille.

I see the dead pedal there, but I need all of it. Yeah I know, the stock kick technique is a common practice of a certain local installer (Bing) in my area. Looks good.

yeah...i'll admit the tweeeter grillle is CHEAP!
I dunno how some of these guys with the kickpods drive stick cars.... I've heard of someone failing inspection for his kickpods because they're in the way.
