Wiring ? from a noobie

Alright, well one of my door speakers is blown so I went to an audio shop today and bought 2 6.5" street edge door speakers. One good thing is they fit pretty much perfectly, I dont have to cut anything. But then I found this problem out..

As stated in the title, I am a total noob when it comes to anything about cars.

I pulled out the stock speaker and disconnected the plug in the back. Looked at the aftermarket speaker and said to myself, "This isn't going to be a simple process".

That shows the difference, but I'm sure all you guys that know this stuff already know what im talking about. So, what do I have to do? do I have run wires through the door panel and such? I cant even find out how to get the door panel off, I just pulled the speaker cover off and got to it that way. Thanks in advance to any help

On that wiring harness that plugged into the speaker, there are 4 wires. two blue, and two gray. Am I able to cut the harness part off and splice the wires and hook it up to the new speakers? If so which colors would I use? thanks

Ok, well I have thought about it and searched further more on the site.

Would it be that the blue wires are the positive, and the black/gray wires be the ground/negative? If this is true, would I splice both blue wires together and splice both black/gray wires together? or just use 1 wire from both blue and black/gray?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Blue is + and black/gray -.

Ideally you would just use ONE of them because your aftermarket speakers already have a tweeter on them. You do not want to use two tweeters from the same channel and it makes it worst that they are in two different location. Some people won't be able to tell the difference some can.

The way the wiring works on the prelude is, they send ONE set of wire from the deck to the speakers, then another set of wires from the speakers to tweeters. The 2nd set of wires is pretty much the same as the first set, they just tapped it but it looks like there are two independent wires.
