ok i did some research and i think i have got it. My deck is the bottom one.

will allow it to control this

am i missing anything to make this work?

and that should be able to play my MP3 player through my deck

Well it wont control it, but it will play the audio through your car stereo. So no, you don't need anything else, to play it.

Yeah, the only thing you will be controling from the head unit is the volume, you wont be able to see track info or change songs by using the head unit interface. But you would be able to HEAR it.
