Wierd noises now, and i cant listen to anything!!!!
Ok so my stereo is wiggin out. I started my car and instead of hearing some great music to accompany my ride to work....i hear this BOOOOOOOOOP BOOOOOOOOOP and i turn the volume all the way down...and it doesnt realy change the 000ber loud sound. So something is messed up for sure, and its probably not the head unit because i cant control the volume. So its probably the amp no? I checked all the fuses in my amps as well as by the fuses out next to the battery terminals. I have two Directed Audio Amps. One is a 750watt (peak power) class D amp and a 500 watt amp for the interior speakers. Any ideas???

How long does it make that noise for? Well the first thing to do is to isolate where the noise is coming from. Is it coming from the interior speakers or the sub? If it's the interior, is it all of the speakers or just the fronts or rear or tweeters? If your fuses were popped, you wouldn't hear anything, so it's not that.

i checked all the connections, as far as i know the sound is only the interior speakers, but if that were the only problem i would be getting normal noise out of the subs no? the BOOOOOOOP last for about 2 seconds...so yeah, im kinda lost. i might have to swing by my buddies stereo shop

the sound is coming from all speakers and subs....so its probably something in the headunit...or between the headunit and the amps...so something is probably lose behind the HU

check your rca cables also they could be grounding out somewhere
I'm with him.
Unplug the RCAs from the back of the HU, and plug them into a discman. This'll tell you if it's the HU outputs that are messed up, or the RCAs are grounding out somewhere. If the noise goes away, you've got an HU problem. If it doesn't, plug the discman directly into the amp, bypassing the RCAs run through your car. If the noise goes away, your RCAs are bad, if it doesn't, it could be an amp problem. Detach the speaker wires from the amp and plug in a new test speaker (stock speaker would work fine) directly at the amp. If the noise goes away, it's a speaker wire/speaker problem, if it doesn't, it's an amp problem.
