I have a Valentine one 1.8. I love it and have never gotten a ticket or even come close to one. I get plenty of headsup time with it. It has different modes you can put it in and and the arrows tell you where the radar is coming from and there is also lights to tell you what what kind of rader it was. Yeah so basically I dont regreat ever buying it.
I'm in the market for a radar detector as well. I was looking at getting a valentine one, but I'm not quite sure that it's something I really need as far as a detector goes.
Has anyone dealt with purchasing one of these units off of ebay?
They're ~$100 dollars below MSRP, however you cannot send them back to the Manufacturer for warranty work because of a clause in the product agreement. Something along the lines of "this product will not be sold on any auction site." This guy offers a 1 year warranty, as well as a 3 year extended warranty.

IMHO, from all my experience I would save up for a V1.
I have had one for a while now, and nothing really come close. Having arrows is really important.
Also, Valentine backs there product really well.
If you aren't convinced, I would say borrow someones V1, and see how it feels.
+1....That's how I get my friends to buy one. I let them borrow mine on a road trip or let them borrow it for the week...they usually are hooked after that. My one friend had a brand new Bel RX65 and sold it after 2 months to get the V1 after trying mine.
My friend bought his V1 off Ebay. He hasnt had a problem. Just make sure you read everything in the ad and make sure nothing is a hoax and ask the seller as many questions as possible. V1 ALL THE WAY!
i originally bought an $80 radar detector and got a ticket for speeding. Didn't go off till after the cop started to leave. After that, I bought a V1 and it has saved me many times since.
