I read today about problems with Jap radios in Aus. Apparently the Japanese on use 88-96Mhz for FM broadcasts.

In Australia we use 88-108Mhz. Will I have any problems with a US radio here.

88-108 is the US standard too, but, Waynei, are your spacing between stations 10 Mhz or 9 Mhz?

In the US it is 10 and in Europe it is 9 and FM radios have to adapt to this to be able to be used both places.

I'd guess Oz is more like Europe, since it seems a step ahead of the US in other things too (a/c current, PALS vs NTSC, beautiful women)....

Thanks for the reply Barry.

Can you clarify hat you mean by spacing between stations?

Are you refering to the actual frequencies between stations? They seem to be all over the place here. 104.1,104.9, 105.7Mhz are the most popular stations in Sydney (8 mhz between them), but there are other stations such as 106.1 which seem to break the rule.
