I've had a 10in type x and loved it for the most part, but didn't own it long enough to make a firm decision. I'm with pearlprey on the JLw6 for proven quality.
Type R sounds great and you dont get so much rattling from the trunk, which is something you should consider when getting a sub or subs
Rattling from the trunk is the last thing on your list you should be concerned about when you choose a sub. How silly does this sound? I bought that sub because it doesn't make my trunk rattle.
Subs cause vibration and it will make your trunk rattle depending on how loud you turn it. I don't care what brand it is. It will happen. That's why you put sound deadening on the panels.

How the hell are you suppose to look cool if you can't hear the trunk lid and license plate rattling from 2 blocks away? That's how the homies do it in my area. I'm so envious.
Seriously tho, if you listen to good music and just want a little extra bump to round things out, I recommend one 10" or two 8" subs with a low wattage amp. Kicker and MTX make good speakers.

im sorry if spin r g wants to sound like he just got married with all the rattling, i do consider this cuz i dont want to sound cheezy, no offense to anyone who likes that. And there is a foam that u can put on the trunk to prevent the rattling, ever wonder how the new cars with the bose systems sound great without extra noise?

I'm not talking about sound cheesing or making the trunk rattle on purpose. I'm talking about why you should pick one sub versus another one.
So you're saying you pick subs on the basis of their ability not to rattle car? There's no way to even determine this. I pick a sub based on sounds quality not it's ability to not rattle a trunk. I don't care what brand of sub you have. It could be a 2000 dollar sub or a 50 dollar sub. The sub is going to move the air in the trunk. If it moves enough the pressure will cause things to rattle. I've used an Alpine type r sub before in my car and it will cause rattles. I've installed one in another prelude before so don't act like I don't know. Maybe you have a incorrectly tuned box. Maybe you're not supplying it with enough power. Maybe you're just not turning it up enough to the point where the is enough sound pressure to make a difference.
What do you think I meant by sound deadening? Yes the foam stuff you're talking about. Preludes don't have it in the trunk. So you can't compare a bose system to the prelude one or an aftermarket one. No I don't like the rattle but it will happen when you turn the volume up. This is due to the amount of air and sound pressure caused by the movement of the sub. If you don't want rattle don't turn it up, buy a an extremely low power sub, or install sound deadening.

If you haven't heard of Cadence they make high end stereo stuff.
They have set world records for SPL with their subs and amps. They are great.
