stock radio and aftermart dont work

my cousin has a 98 lude. we went to install an aftermarket HU in it. when we finished splicing the wires to the adapter plug we went to see if it would work. but when we turned the car on the HU didnt seem to be getting power at all or just not coming on. so we decided to hook the stock one back up and it doesnt come on now but the antitheft light comes on... ive looked at some of the fuses that some of the other threads said to check and there wasnt anything wrong with them. namely fuse 18 and the onE that say clock radio(we replaced the clockradio fuse). just wondering if anyone knows whats wrong??

i was gonna say check the fuses... but if they're fine, then i'm stumped. How did you connect the new radio? Did you buy a wiring harness that plugs into the prelude connection, and then you connected the new radio harness to the purchased harness?

Check fuse 43 - 7.5A (clock radio) in the under-hood fuse/relay box.

My error - thought you confused fuse 18 with 43. Check fuse 46 interior lights 15A - provides power to accessory power socket and radio.
