Sony Cdmx-610 problems!

I put a 5.5" lcd under my head unit in my 3g, and a couple weeks later I was washing my car and I was done just resting listening to the stereo and it just cut out! (was listening to cd) it was still playing the cd but no sound was coming out! Then on my way to my uncles that night it just popped back on while having it on the radio. Ever since it's been doing it at least once a day. It seems everday it's fine when I goto school, but when I come out it wont play music. If you hit the off button and then turn it back on it'll pop but not play music. I checked all my harness connections and such and it still does it! Maybe my harness it fried or something? I am all out of ideas. -sTEVE

p.s. i had to solder on a front 6.5 connection. Would that of harmed anything?
