i'm planning on getting a rockford bd1000 amp to push 2 12 rf Hx2 subs, the subs are DVC subs, but i want to know if that amp will push those to subs to the max, since those subs handle around 1000w rms, i want each sub to be gettin at least 1000w rms each, or is that too much power for an integra sedan? I just want a really clean hard hitting SPL setup for bass, help me out guys, any of you got any better suggestions on what kinda setup i should get? Some ppl told me that more watts/power doesnt mean cleaner bass, often they say it will sound crap with more watts... is this true? im not sure yet but i just want rock hard hitting bass, that will shake my insides... plz tell me what you guys think i should do...

Personally, I would not go with high wattage speakers for spl. Physically, the more air that you move, the more spl is produced. So 4 12's are gonna move more air than 2. If spl is your goal, I would put 4 10's or 12's in the trunk, port the box (if airspace permits) tune the box for the cars resonate freq, and put massive power on the subs. If the power is clean, you wont damage the subs.
ans if it is a sedan, PUT IN SOME DAMN SOUND DEADENING. Nothing makes a good system sound ****ty as fast as trunk rattle

those hx2's will perform well with more power. Figure you double your power and you will gain 3db. So the more power the better. Although Extreme does have a point, more isnt better.
