PO.. I need your audio wisdom

Ok my left front speakers (tweeter and such) have been out for quite some time. I bought a used oem door harness. I took out the old and plugged in the new to make sure it works.. It didnt.. So I re-installed the old.. And kept the used one. I tested out different headunits. No sound.. A friend ran wire from the radio harness to the speakers.. It worked. So there is a bad connection or wire somewhere along the MAIN harness in the car's dash. My question is where does it run?? I cant find it under the dash...

Its a huge mess under there.. Can anyone shed any light? I appreciate it. Thanks!

I wonder if it would just be easier for you to run new speaker wire from the door to the head unit and call it good? You probably want to keep it OEM though, so I will let someone else chime in on the location of the wires.

I read your question twice... I still dont understand... you go from your aftermarket's wire harness.. to the one you pulled out of the oem... are you asking for the color of the speaker wires for the doors? I think green and grey.. but dont quote me.

I just used the stock wiring harness.. by cutting above the the OEM to my aftermarket...
does that make sense? for the front speakers WIRES.... the signal is still coming from AMPs.. to those speaker wires.. I just run speakerwire up from the amp..to the front.. and crimp in.
In your case.. and alot shorter.. from headunit.. to those speaker wires.

Hell I dunno.. even if I got YOUR question right... lol. Sorry, Oreo.

I thank you both for your input. But what I am asking is, from the harness's female connector behind the radio... Where do the wires trace to when they go out to the doors? Under the dash? Under the carpet? I know the colors... Im just trying to trace them so I can see where my problem is. Im also thinking maybe there is another connector somewhere.. I even tried and oem radio.. And couldnt hear sound from the left speakers still. So it cant be the aftermarket harness connector.

I believe they run under the dash, but they are bound together with a whole mess of other wires. Your easiest way to go is run new wire, if you do it right nobody will ever know it's there. Just tuck the new wire up under the dash, but be warned getting the new wire into the door is a HUGE pita, but not impossible, I did it and it just takes forever.
