Mounting aftermarket tweeters question
Hey!
Just bought me some Focal Ployglass 160 v2's. Trying to install them myself and just have a question about installing the tweeter. The Focal tweeter is significantly larger then the stock one. It also doesn't just screw into place as the stock one does. To make it fit I bent the metal tweeter holder, and to keep it in place I used some electrical tape. This is so far a temporary solution and thought I'd ask for some pointers.
One idea I had was to use one of the mounting pods that came with the speaker package and screw them into the metal door frame. I don't really like this idea, and I'm not sure it would even work. Any other thoughts?
