Still don't know what you mean.
If you mean pre-amp, well then technically all head units have a "pre-amp". That just refers to the volume, tone, eq controls...etc. If you want to use the head unit solely as a pre-amp (connected to an outboard amp), then get one with "pre-amp" RCA outputs that get connected to an outboard amp.
If you mean internal amp, well then just get one that has an internal amp. They are more common than ones without an internal amp. Alpine would be a good choice.

Pre-amp = Before the amplifier....get it?
The signal goes: CD -> Pre-amp -> Amp

What? I might need one of prepreludesh's translations to comprehend that one.

Are you talking about a headunit, speakers or amp?

Do you plan on running an external amp in the car?

I am going to assume that you meant to ask if you can run a 180-240 watt speaker from an aftermarket headunit. If that was the question, then the answer is yes you can, but they would sound better with an external amp rated for roughly the same RMS wattage that the speakers are. However, the simpler and cheaper way to go is to wire the speakers to the headunit.

WOW, a "desk" huh? You sir, need to read up on car audio before you try to ask any questions. You have confused us, and thus have made us all dumber by forcing us to try to translate what you are trying to ask.
So Ill just throw this at you in hopes it makes some sense, and answer your question.

Just about all head units can run speakers. I think thats what you are calling a Pre amp? Keep in mind the head unit only puts out a few watts RMS. Not much to make the speaker sound as nice as they could. NEVER believe "peakpower" just look at RMS output.

The wattage printed on the speaker is what it can handle... not how many watts it puts out.
so you connect your deck with 5W RMS output, to your 240 max watt speakers. you will have 5 wats of clean power going to those speakers.

If you want a nice sounding stereo, you need a head unit with pre-amp outputs. Those are the RCA cables that go to an external amp. They do not power the speaker, they provide the signal to the amp.

I never run any speakers off head unit power.

Keep in mind, cheaper headunits do not have pre-amp outputs. So its not as easy to connect to an external amp.
Also some only have front outputs. a Good headunit will have Front, Rear, and Sub pre-amp outputs.
