i have the jbl 1200.1 powering 2 12" and it gives them WAYYYYY more than enough power... bass boost is all the way down and gain is at about 40% and even at those levels if i crank it the car sounds like its going to shake apart...

i use a jbl bp600.1 to power one type r 12...
the thing is...i am running them with a load of 4 ohms...
so the amp is capable of producing 600watts at 2 ohms....
but at 4 ohms....im sending 300 watts...
what does that all mean?
i can power two type r 12's if i change the wiring a little...
i can power them to the rms max and above...
jbl amps are underated...i would say the bp600.1 can put out 700 watts of clean power...

btw...
my sub makes my car raddle like its about to fall apart
