when you take the door off there should be a black pastic piece
usually you can take that off and mount them there or in the kick panels should work, under the seat ect..

I put my crossovers under the dash on the passenger's side (93 Si). Without the airbag, there's a huge cavity in there, plenty of room for 2 crossovers. I kept the tweeters in the stock location so only needed to run 1 wire into each door. If you keep the tweeters in the stock location and the crossovers in the door, you have to run a wire from the amp into the door, and a second wire from the crossover to the tweeter. It's less work to keep the crossovers inside the car body and use stock locations for all the speakers.

how do you get to this "cavity" in the dash?

how did you route the wiring from the crossover to the door?

Put your head on the floor under the dash, as close to the firewall as you can get. Look up. You'll see the cavity. Or just reach your hand under there, you'll feel the opening. It's very easy to get to, just a big open space behind the dash.

Look at the other thread "how do you run the wires" for my wiring info. I just posted there with pictures of how I did it.

You've got a 4th gen right?

There is an EXTREMELY easy way to do your crossovers. You just put the crossovers behind the radio. Keep everything in its' factory location and you only have to run 2 short wires to your tweeters. How? Here's a diagram (expanded and simplified)

You take the speaker wires coming from the deck or amp (depending on how you're driving your components) and run those to the crossover inputs. Then run the output for the left & right mid to the front right/left speaker wires on your wiring harness adapter for the stereo. So the mid signal is going through the factory wiring now. But the tweeter is getting a mid signal! No problem, unplug the tweeter wire from the tweeters and cap them off. Now all you have to do is run a wire from the tweeter output on your crossover to the tweeters. DONE! It's as simple as that, and you don't have to mess with running wires in the doors.

Of course, you can move the crossovers to under the dash, or somewhere else. Just use the same basic connections and longer wire. Enjoy!
