Help!!!!!

I have an 00 Prelude. I bought this from a person who had owned it and rewired everything but me being me I wanted to bring it back towards stock. The stock amplifier is not there so i bought another amp to power the rear speakers. I wired everything up and the amp is not turning on. I do not have a remote lead but would that hold the amp from coming on? My subs are working off of another amplifier and seem to be working fine. Does anyone know if this needs a remote lead? If so could i just use the one for the sub? Any other suggestions?

If you're using an external amp yes you need a remote lead to turn it on.

Yes, you need a remote lead, and yes, you can use the one from the sub amp.

Another problem. the rear speakers have static(interference) that rises with acceleration. I have the amplifier for the speakers tapped into the one for the subs... i.e. the power, and reference for the speakekers is tapped into the ones on the sub amp. Could this be the problem? I have tried RF chokes on both these wires but no luck. Any suggestions? thanks.

You need to ground your amps better. Make sure you have a solid metal-on-metal (no paint in between) contact somewhere on the body of the car, and don't stack your grounds on top of each other.
