Front Speaker.. Positive? Negative?

Hey guys, just blown my stock front speaker, changing over to some new ones, got some nice rockfords that my buddy had for cheap, so i took apart the clip, and now i can't figure out which wire is positive and which one is negative!!... i tried both sides for the speaker, and they both sound good, i don't want to blow the speaker by having it on the wrong way? so just wondering if anyone knows?

i'm thinking the black is negative and the blue is positive? but i don't know forsure.

This is probably better off in the entertainment/security forum. But, no you won't blow your speakers by reversing the polarity on the wires. Some people reverse the polarity of speakers to delay the signal slightly (although usually not noticeable to the average person), but there are better ways of accomplishing this to begin with. For your situation black is usually always ground, so assume that is the ground. I have rarely seen blue as positive though. The most important thing is to make sure that all of them are connected the same (black=neg, blue=pos) so you don't get any weird interference issues.

For hondas, blue & red are the positives of speaker wires. It's the "bloods & crips" rule of honda speaker wires.
